Today I did a GUI update.

In the sections profiles, references, uploads and job applications sample screens are displayed now.

After the launch of ApplyHQ I got a lot of feedback. Thank you all.

Inspired from your feedback I updated and corrected following points:

- Added more jobfeeds
- Added small help text on dashboard
- Fixed picture upload
- Fixed typo errors
- Fixed UI errors
- Fixed account update error

I’m going to improve ApplyHQ furthermore.

ApplyHQ.com is a web application providing freelancers services to apply for jobs and projects in a easier, faster and professional way. Its purpose is to simplify project and job acquisition for hard working freelancers.

This is the first view of our file upload function. With ApplyHQ you can upload your scanned references or recommendations. You can add your uploaded files to any job applications you do with ApplyHQ.

ApplyHQ will accept all common file types. PDF, DOC or whatever you prefer - you can upload it. The only limitation is the storage space. It will depent from your choosen plan. Filetypes that are able to cause security issues aren’t allowed for uploading.

While you are using the application you can upload files anytime. We recommend to upload all important files like certificates or scanned licences at first. So you won’t interupted if you apply for a job with ApplyHQ.

Your uploaded files are only visible to recruiters you have send a job application. Each of our job applications has a unique url  like http://applyhq.com/jobapplication/cwmo6ydwic (demo url - not working). So your scanned documents are only accessible throught this URL.

This week i have finished another feature of ApplyHQ. The experience chart shows your skills you used in your projects/jobs. The screenshot above is from a Ruby on Rails developer profile. It underlines your focus on Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS and MySQL development.

The chart is calulated automatically from your references. You don’t have to put any effort into.

The benefits of this chart is clear. Recruiters get dozents of job applications on their desks and usually they are short on time. This chart allows recruiters to overview your skills quickly. They don’t have to read all your profile text to see what you have done in your projects.

If your chart matches the requirements the chance the recruiter will read your complete application is far higher.

ApplyHQ makes it easy to reply for project managers and recruiters. The screenshot above shows the reply function. It opens an ajax-form for writing a message and suggesting an appointment for an interview.

Why is this important? It’s important because it is a easy way to reply to your profile. The recruiter has not to search in other software for your email address. He can do it directly. If your profile matches the job requirements the recruiter would be able to answer you in no time.

1. Create your profile and references 

ApplyHQ makes it easy to keep your profile and references at state of the art. Once you have created them you can use it in all following job applications. You can add new references in less than 1 minute. It reduces you work to keep your references up-to-date.

2. Look for a job on our internal jobboard

Save time while you are looking for a job. You won’t have to visit dozent of jobboards if you use our jobboard. We collect job listings from many jobboards and display them in a easy to read format. With our “Apply now” function you can apply for a job in no time.

3. Apply for each job you like

Save time while your are applying for a job. Push the “Apply now” button, write a short covering letter, and add your profile and references with just a few clicks. Done! Repeat this steps for each job you like.
